SMSgt Kori Lynn Conaway

SMSgt Kori Lynn Conaway is the Operations Superintendent of the 16th Intelligence Squadron, a Classic Associate Reserve unit supporting the 94th Intelligence Squadron, 70th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing, Fort George G. Meade, Md. The 16 IS conducts real-time signals intelligence collection management, exploitation, and analysis of both tactical and national data. In her role as the Operations Superintendent, she manages all operations for the 16 IS, training, equipping, and integrating more than 80 Reserve members into the 94 IS daily SIGINT operations.

 

SMSgt Conaway enlisted in the United States Air Force in July of 2003 as an Airborne Linguist and attended technical school at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, Calif., studying Russian. During her 10 years of active duty service, she was assigned to the 97th Intelligence Squadron at Offutt AFB, Neb. where she deployed twice in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM and OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM and served as the Standardization and Liaison Officer for more than 400 flyers. In 2009 she became a Language Analyst at Fort Meade, Md. supporting the National Security Agency (NSA). During her time there she was selected for multiple special assignments to other intelligence agencies as a NSA Liaison Officer. SMSgt Conaway made the transition from active duty to the Reserve in January 2013. Prior to her current position as Operations Superintendent, SMSgt Conaway served as a Flight Chief at the 16 IS, Fort Meade, Md.
