Go Over the Edge For NMIF

2024 Over the Edge: NMIF's Urban Rappelling Fundraiser

The NMIF partnered with Over the Edge and Hyatt Regency Washington on Capital Hill to host an exciting Over the Edge urban rappelling fundraiser on 2 March 2024. Over 80 people conquered fears and rappelled from the 110-story roof of the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capital Hill. In addition to those who raised funds for a spot on a rope, the foundation was proud to host over 25 Scouts of America, 6 U.S. Army Soldiers, 10 U.S. Air Force Airmen, 2 U.S. Space Force Guardians, and 18 U.S. Marine Corps Marines for a chance to rappel as well.

Corporate sponsors for this amazing event included SOSi and Millennium Group. Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill was an outstanding host for this event. NMIF also thanks Splunk and AWS for sponsoring a post-event happy hour.

The NMIF will host future Over the Edge fundraising events each spring. Come back soon for 2025 Over the Edge For NMIF information!

About the Event

NMIF launched its inaugural spring Over the Edge event on 2 March 2024 to raise funds and spread awareness to further NMIF's mission of sustaining and supporting the intelligence workforce. NMIF continuously engages and celebrates current and future intelligence and defense professionals, organizations, industry, and academic institutions to action this mission. Made possible by the generosity of donors through fundraising events such as Over the Edge, NMIF hosts the annual Night of Heroes Intelligence Awards Banquet to recognize current intelligence professionals and aspiring intelligence students, as well as promotes professional development in the field of intelligence through the American Intelligence Journal publication.

NMIF was organized to advance public awareness of the roles and contributions intelligence professionals make to society, military intelligence organizations, disciplines, and enhancements in analytical methods, and techniques. Building on a long history of success as the National Military Intelligence Association, which was established in 1974, NMIF came to corporate life as an IRS Code 501(c)(3) public charity on August 7, 2007.
