About the Scholarships

NMIF Scholarships are extremely competitive and only presented to the most outstanding rising intelligence professionals.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the NMIF was able to provide $37,000 in 2018, $25,000 in 2020, $20,500 in 2021, $25,000 in 2022, and $25,000 in 2023 to exceptional students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs aligned with intelligence and national security programs. Students from over 60 universities apply for NMIF scholarships. These scholarships are typically awarded in increments of $1,000 to $5,000.

The awards for each year’s scholarship will be dependent on the donations received throughout the year.  In addition to providing a grant to academic institutions to be applied to the winning applicants’ tuition, each award will be accompanied by an invitation to attend the NMIF Awards Banquet to be held in the fall.

Students are awarded at our Night of Heroes Intelligence Awards Banquet, a formal affair that allows attendees to interact with Intelligence Community (IC) seniors and officials, professional award and scholarship winners, and others supporting the IC as we celebrate the success of past, present, and future generations of intelligence professionals.

Donations can be made to the scholarship program, to support the Night of Heroes Awards Banquet, or to NMIF in general to support its programs.
